What Is In-Home Disability Support?

In-home support brings NDIS-funded assistance to you, in your own home, so you can live as independently as possible without having to move or rely on family for everything. A support worker helps with the tasks and routines that are harder to manage on your own, at the times you need them.

It is flexible by design. Some participants need a few hours a week for personal care or household tasks. Others need daily help or overnight support. Your support is built around your NDIS plan and how much assistance you need.

What Our In-Home Support Includes

Your support is delivered by an experienced home support worker who is matched to you and your routine. Support includes:

Personal Care

Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting, delivered with respect for your privacy and the way you like your routine done.

Daily Living and Independence Support

Help with daily living tasks and routines, and support to build the skills and confidence to do more on your own over time.

Domestic Assistance and Household Tasks

Help with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and general home upkeep, keeping your home safe and comfortable.

Medication Support

Assistance with medication management and reminders, delivered safely in line with your care plan and NDIS requirements.

Overnight and 24/7 Support

For participants who need continuous support, our team provides overnight and around-the-clock care, so help is always there when you need it.

Social and Community Support

Support to get out of the house, attend appointments and take part in social and community activities where that is part of your plan.

Who In-Home Support Is For

In-home support suits NDIS participants who want to stay in their own home and need a hand with daily life. That includes people with physical disability, intellectual disability, sensory needs or mental health support needs. The support is personalised, so whether you need help with mobility and personal care or with routines and household tasks, it is shaped around you.

How In-Home Support Works With Your NDIS Plan

In-home support is funded through your NDIS plan, usually under your Core Supports budget as Assistance with Daily Life. The NDIS funds the cost of the support worker based on the level of help identified in your plan. If you are unsure how much of your plan can go toward in-home support, our team can help you work through it with your support coordinator.
