Supported Independent Living (SIL) in Melbourne

Registered SIL provider delivering 24/7 NDIS-funded support for participants across Melbourne and Victoria.

Supported Independent Living gives NDIS participants the support they need to live as independently as possible, whether that is in a shared home, their own home, or a supported living arrangement. At Harmony House, we have been a registered NDIS provider since 2020 and provide personalised, round-the-clock SIL support matched to your individual goals and lifestyle.

What Is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living is an NDIS-funded support category designed to help participants with higher support needs live independently while receiving the daily assistance they need. SIL funding covers the cost of support workers, not rent or accommodation costs.

SIL is suited to participants who need assistance for a significant part of the day, including overnight support. This can include people living in a shared home with other participants, or individuals who need support in their own home on a 24/7 basis.

Why Choose Harmony House as Your SIL Provider

As a fully registered SIL provider, Harmony House has been registered since 2020, well ahead of mandatory SIL registration beginning from 1 July 2026. If you are currently receiving SIL support from an unregistered provider or planning a transition, Harmony House can step in with continuity of care and full compliance.

Before support starts, we take time to understand your routines, communication preferences, support needs and long-term goals, so your roster of care reflects how you want to manage day-to-day life.

Choosing a registered NDIS provider gives participants, families and support coordinators greater confidence around compliance, worker screening, quality standards and continuity of care. With mandatory SIL registration beginning from 1 July 2026, working with an already-registered provider also simplifies future planning and makes any future provider transitions more straightforward.

One of our participants in Frankston now prepares his own meals and attends a weekly community football group. Those were goals he set in his very first Roster of Care meeting, and our team has been with him every step of the way.
